2020 Academic Results

Bunbury Catholic College had the top performing cohort in Economics and Italian from all CEWA schools and I congratulate our students and teachers Justine Bow and Laura Whitfield for these outstanding course results.
Congratulations to Alex O’Brien who scored an ATAR of 96.05 reaffirming his award as Dux of Bunbury Catholic College for 2020.
Four of our Year 12s received an ATAR score of 90+, placing them in the top 10% of all ATAR students in WA. A number of our students were recognised for their outstanding achievement by the School Standards and Curriculum Authority (SCSA), with Bunbury Catholic College students being awarded one Certificate of Distinction and six Certificates of Merit.
From a cohort of 92 students, 87 students (94.6%) achieved full WACE Graduation. The median ATAR of Bunbury Catholic College was 78.95. Our Year 12’s completed a total of 630 VET unit equivalents, with 87 (64.9%) of our students achieving a Certificate II and 47 (35.1%) of our Year 12 cohort achieving a Certificate III.
Our College’s ATAR courses that achieved a mean higher than the State mean were: Accounting & Finance, Biology, Earth and Environmental Science, Economics, English, Italian, History, Psychology and Visual Art.
In congratulating our Year 12 students it is important to recognise the dedication and professionalism of all staff at the College who supported our 2020 Year 12 cohort throughout not only Year 12, which was an extremely difficult year due to Covid-19, but during their entire educational journey at Bunbury Catholic College.
