This Year 11 & 12 ATAR Course focuses on the skills and principles of computing and provides students with the opportunity to gain experience in the development of software, data storage and management, networking and user interface design. This course provides students with practical and technical skills that equip them to function effectively in a world where these attributes are vital for employability and daily life in a technological society. It provides a sound understanding of computing to support students pursuing further studies in related fields.
This Course is completed by all Year 9 students and targets a range of ICT skills which both support student use of computing across the curriculum and at home as well as providing a foundation for further study. Topics include computer systems, animation techniques, coding and an introduction to computer programming.
In Years 11 & 12 students can select to study Computer Science ATAR and/or Certificate II Information, Digital Media and Technology and/or Certificate II Business.
