The Mercy Green Team represented the college at the Bunbury reconciliation bridge walk, held on National Sorry Day, last Friday. The event focused on promoting reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Australians and bringing people together. The walk took place from the Bunbury Power Boat Club, along Koombana Drive, crossed over Koombana Bay Bridge to Bicentennial Square. The walked honoured three key reconciliation milestones – 1967’s Australian referendum, the Mabo decision to recognise native title in 1992 and former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd’s apology in 2008. Our students were honoured to have been part of this important event.
