OzCLO 2017
OzCLO is the Australian Computational and Linguistics Olympiad, a state and national competition, the particular focus of which is logical thinking, as it relates to discovering how languages work. The competition is run by academics at major universities in Australia. The competition is designed for students from Years 9 to 12 and typically appeals to students who like languages, maths, computers, or natural sciences.
We entered 6 teams across both campuses into OzCLO this year. These students should be commended for giving up their own time to compete and prepare for this competition. I have been so impressed by their organisational skills, academic ability and self-motivation!
Round one was held on Wednesday 8th of March. We wish the teams every luck for getting into the National Competitions later this month.
