Senior Girls Soccer
BCC v Manea 14 June
For the first time this season we had our full team available, in fact we were blessed with five reserves.
The girls started well but went a goal down early in the game. Maddy Congdon had a strong run through on the right and finished beautifully to level the scores. Shortly after this Katie McDermott took an excellent free kick from long range, giving the keeper no chance and we were one up. The girls kept pressing and a long ball from Emily Walker in goal beat the defence on the bounce. Jordan McEleney followed up and outran their defence to put in our third goal.
In the second half, Manea got a goal back, but the girls held on to win the game 3-2.
BCC v Grammar 21 June
Only 10 girls were available for the game, however, they proved to be more than adequate.
The girls made a few position changes and it paid off handsomely, with Eleisha Du Boulay moving from defence to striker and scoring an unbelievable nine goals! Three more goals through Maddy, Sophie and Billie-Lee and an own goal, meant we ran out deserved winners 13-0.
The team was Emily Walker, Sofia Fimognari, Gemma Parisella, Sarah Hobson, Tarni Fortune, Sophie Smith, Maddy Congdon, Billie-Lee Du Boulay, Eleisha Du Boulay and Kandice Miller. They all played well and it was a great way to end the season. Well done ladies!!
