Our tennis players scooped the pool  at the Sunsmart Country School Tennis Classic in Perth last Friday. Congratulations to our Senior Boys team of Michael Frayne, Connor Lord, Cooper Smith, Eckhard Strydom and Senior Girls team of  Kayla Myburgh, Summer O’Keefe, Courtney Babich, Kate Lockley who both won the Murcell Cup respectively. The Junior Boys B team of Aaron Santos, Caysen Parsons, Gavin Reddin and Tyson Starr also went through to the Country Classic Championships and were deserved joint winners of the Herbert Edwards Cup competition.

The Junior Boys A team- Scott Tuia, Liam Cox, Ryan Babich, Aiden Hutchinson also competed.

Schools from Cunderdin, Great Southern Grammar and Albany were represented. All  games were played on grass courts, in very warm conditions.

A very big thanks as well to Mr Grant Smith and Ms Amanda Ypinazar of McDonald’s Collie and Eaton who sponsored all our Tennis Classic team members for the State Country Finals. Their financial support allowed all our players to be fitted with College athletic shorts for the tournament and on behalf of the players and the College, thank you for your support of our tennis teams.
