Year 9. The BCC Year 9 representative team (some of who are pictured) had a cricket match against Dalyellup College on Monday afternoon at Dalyellup. We won the toss and elected to field. Dalyellup made 122 runs for their 27 overs. Unfortunately BCC conceded a few sundries that ended up penalising us as we only lost the match by 13 runs. Some very good bowling performances from Billy Boucher, Liam Seale, Paarth Chaudhary and Hendrik Helm. We got off to a good start with Rory Beeson and Christian Whitefield getting off to a very fast start however after they were dismissed our run rate was curtailed by some very good Dalyellup bowling. Jaxon Pitts was our most effective batsman with a six and a four in the final over enroute to a classy 47. Mr Jason Frisina
Year 8.Our team of twelve took on Dalyellup College. Heinrich Helm captained very ably as we fielded first. Most of the boys bowled three overs each and Tom Anderson and Brady Lenaghan kept wicket well. We kept them to 124 runs in 34 overs. The boys then batted and all acquitted themselves well. Heinrich was outstanding scoring 44 not out and hitting two huge sixes too. We passed the Dalyellup College score quite comfortably. Thanks to Dalyellup College for the match and venue, and also to our parents who supported during the afternoon. Special thanks to Mrs Esre Helm for the fruit for the boys at tea time! Mr Iain McKenzie
Year 7. Yr. 7 Cricket vs. Dalyellup CollegeBCC won the toss and elected to bat. Jake Michel started brightly but a steady stream of wickets kept the runs down. Luke Blee entered the scene and upped the run rate with some good hitting to set a competitive total of 136.We then went on to win the game which was played in a very good spirit.
Dalyellup started well and looked to have the total under control when Campbell Senbergs took 2 very important wickets to put the brakes on the Dalyellup batsmen. Frazier Giumelli then chipped in with some good bowling to see BCC come away with a comfortable win. Luke Hutchison deserves a special mention for a couple of outstanding catches
