Elite Sports Program
The Elite Sports Program at Bunbury Catholic College is designed to support students who have a particular interest, talent or capability in sports.
Our Elite Sports Program includes learning opportunities in sports performance, coaching and officiating that are not easily accessible in junior community sport. The program develops skills that are applicable to many sports.
We are mindful of our students having a high level of participation in community sport. The program is designed to maximise physical conditioning and skills in a way that does not overload teenagers during their growth and developmental stages. This is achieved by applying sport science principles, imparted by our experienced Health and Physical Education team. The program is age appropriate; many sessions will be physically challenging, however those with a good work ethic and a love of sport will thrive.
All students must apply annually for selection into the Elite Sports Program.
The application process is competitive. It considers each student’s significant sporting achievements, work ethic, athletic ability, behaviour and leadership skills.

- All new applicants, Years 7-12, will be required to attend a fitness evaluation on Saturday May 27 2023.
