Art Extraordinaire
The 43rd Art Extraordinaire exhibition was a showcase enjoyed by many visitors from October 24–26, 2025 and artworks of significant value were purchased.
After careful consideration, and following discussions with the Art Extraordinaire Committee, we regret to advise that the Art Extraordinaire will not proceed in 2026.
This decision has not been made lightly and reflects the current capacity for volunteer support within our College community. Our sincere hope is that Art Extraordinaire will return in 2027.

Art Extraordinaire Committee
The College will continue to support the Art Extraordinaire Committee, comprised of volunteers from the Bunbury Catholic College Parents & Friends, as they plan for the future.
Principal Ben Priest has formally acknowledged and thanked the committee for the outstanding work they have undertaken in preparation for this event.
“The time, dedication and passion shown by the committee members has been admirable, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed,” he said.
“While the event will not go ahead this year, the planning and groundwork completed will be invaluable as we look ahead.”
Events such as the Art Extraordinaire play an important role in showcasing the artistic creativity and spirit of our community, and we remain hopeful that, with broader support, it will return stronger than ever.

Artist Extraordinaire
BCC alumnus Christine Blowfield was the Artist in Residence for Art Extraordinaire 2025!
Christine is a multi‑award winning acrylic artist based in the South West, whose vibrant large‑format canvases bring the region’s unique flora and landscapes to life through bold colour, rich texture, and immersive perspective.
With works featured in both national and international collections, she marries environmental appreciation with emotive storytelling through her art.
Christine’s captivating portrayal of the Pilbara ‘Cast of Light – View from Mount Sheila’ won the People’s Choice at the 2025 Cossack Art Awards.
It was a joy and an honour to have such a passionate Artist in Residence in the Art Extraordinaire creative space throughout the exhibition on October 25-26.
