BCC Parents & Friends

It is both a privilege and a pleasure to work with the BCC P&F and to witness the passion and drive the group brings to ensuring that parents have a strong voice in our school.

One of the main functions of the P&F is to offer financial support for projects and events at our College and, over the past 12 months, one of the highlights was the purchase of additional table tennis tables, which have proved very popular with students and one or two members of staff!

We assisted families with the cost of travel for sporting and academic events in both WA and interstate; and also contributed to the purchase of new books for the school library. We have continued our funding of both The Resilience Project and Teen Mental Health Program, and we are committed to ensuring that these important mental health initiatives are funded in the years ahead.

Secondhand book sales were once again a good source of revenue for the P&F and on behalf of our members I extend our thanks to all involved.

The Art Extraordinaire took place in October and lived up to its reputation as Bunbury’s premier art event. The high quality of the art on show coupled with the seamless manner in which the event runs is a credit to the organising committee, and the P&F is grateful to all for their dedication. The amount of work involved in staging a three-day art exhibition of this calibre is an immense undertaking and our College community can be very proud of the efforts of all involved.

I would like to thank our executive committee members and all the parents who gave their time and efforts during the year. Sincere thanks also to College Principal Michael Pepper for his strong support and guidance.

We look forward to welcoming some new parents to our meetings.
