We look forward to welcoming your family to our College community. Please read the following information carefully before submitting an application.
Before You Apply
What Families Need to Know
By submitting an Application for Enrolment, families acknowledge:
- Completing and submitting an Application for Enrolment form, and its acceptance by the College, does not guarantee an enrolment interview or a place at the College.
- Enrolment at Bunbury Catholic College does not guarantee enrolment at any other Catholic school.
- If a parent or guardian knowingly withholds material information relevant to the application or enrolment process, the Principal reserves the right to refuse or terminate enrolment on that basis.
Enrolment Criteria
General Criteria:

Parents demonstrate a commitment to the religious development of their child.

Applicants who, in the Principal’s judgment, are likely to benefit most from the College environment.
Enrolment Criteria (in order of priority):

Catholic students from Catholic schools with a Parish Priest reference.
-
Catholic students from non-Catholic schools with a Parish Priest reference.
-
Other Catholic students from Catholic schools.
-
Other Catholic students from non-Catholic schools.
-
Siblings of current non-Catholic students.
-
Non-Catholic students from Catholic schools.
-
Non-Catholic students from other Christian denominations.
-
Other non-Catholic students.
These priorities may be adjusted by the Principal in consultation with the Executive Director of CEWA to reflect local circumstances.
Submitting an Application
- Applications must be submitted online via the College website.
- A non-refundable $60.00 enrolment administration fee is payable at the time of submission.
- Families are encouraged to submit applications three years prior to their child’s intended Year 7 start date.
Required Documents
Please upload the following documents with your application:
- Birth Certificate
- Baptism Certificate (if applicable)
- Priest Reference (if applicable)
- If your child was born overseas OR currently holds a visa – upload Visa documentation and a copy of their Passport or Citizenship Certificate
- If your child was born in Australia AND both parents were born outside Australia – upload parents’ Australian Citizenship Certificate or Visa documentation
- Court Orders (if applicable)
- Latest School Semester Report
- Latest NAPLAN Results
Interview Stage

Applicants may be invited to an interview with the Principal or a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Year 7 interviews are conducted two years prior to the intended start date.

Mid-term interviews are subject to availability.

A Pre-Interview Information Form must be completed before the interview.

Additional supporting documents may be requested.

Student reference checks may be conducted at the Principal’s discretion.
The interview is an opportunity to discuss how the College can best support your child’s educational journey. Identifying additional support needs will not affect the enrolment decision; however, a full discussion is encouraged to enhance the College’s ability to plan and support your child.
Offer of Enrolment

Families will be notified of the outcome in line with the College’s enrolment timeline.

Offers of enrolment will be sent in writing via email.

Unsuccessful applicants may be placed on a waitlist.
Please note: Attending an interview does not guarantee an offer of enrolment.
Acceptance of Offer
To confirm enrolment, families must submit the Enrolment Acceptance Form and pay a $400 deposit. This deposit will be applied to Term 1 fees and is non-refundable if the student is withdrawn at any time prior to commencing at the College.
Failure to respond by the due date may result in the place being offered to another applicant.
