External Certificate Course Bursary Procedure

The College agrees to provide bursaries to subsidise the cost of external Certificate courses completed. The following conditions apply:

  • External Certificate fees are to be billed to and paid directly by families to the course provider.
  • For the portion of External Certificate fees exceeding $1000, students will be eligible for a bursary up to a maximum of $1000.

Examples:
If the Certificate fee is $900, no subsidy will be provided.
If the Certificate fee is $1800, the subsidy provided will be $800.
If the Certificate fee is $2200, the subsidy provided will be $1000.

  • The bursary applies to one certificate per student in Year 11 or 12 for courses commenced after January 1 2025.
  • Parents are asked to provide the College with evidence of payment to the training provider. Receipts can be emailed to bcc.fees@cewa.edu.au.
  • The College will apply the bursary as a credit to the annual school fees account in two equal instalments during Term 1 and Term 3, provided the student remains enrolled at the College.
  • Parents are encouraged to factor the bursary into their regular school fees direct debits/instalments, if applicable.

Bursary arrangements will be reviewed annually.
