We are very proud of Jess Verbrugge from the Class of 2021 who has joined the Essendon Football Team in the AFLW.
Jess began her football career playing for Donnybrook when she was a Year 12 student at BCC and twice won the Nola Marino Medal for the region’s top female footballer.
After several years playing in the WAFLW, she rose to the position of Captain for East Perth, became a State Representative player in May and has now made history as the first Royal to sign a contract with an AFLW team.
