Wood Design Technology

Wood Design Technology:

Wood Design is a Course that can be studied in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Different projects are completed in each year group, increasing in complexity. The Course examines various hand tools, power tools and machines related to the woodworking industry.

Students will be taught to use industry standard machines and tools to manufacture their projects. They will learn how to operate these and to work in a safe manner in a practical working environment.

In Years 11 & 12 students can select to study Materials Design & Technology (Wood).
