Bunbury Eisteddfod

Our talented students

Bunbury Catholic College students’ performances were a credit to themselves and to their Arts teachers at the 2026 Bunbury Eisteddfod Gala Concert held at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

After weeks of performances by thousands of performers, the best of the best are invited to be part of the Eisteddfod Gala Concert, and our students shone on the big stage at BREC on Saturday 20 June.

Year 12 student Jasmine Robinson held the audience in the palm of her hand with her captivating vocal solo performance of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Freddie Mercury.

Ballerinas from BCC were part of a stunning performance by a Studio of Classical & Contemporary Dance troupe, including Paige Swann in Year 12 and Georgia Sarre in Year 11.

To kick off after interval, our band called ‘WeTidy’, formed by BCC students studying Certificate III in Music, honoured the memory of late lead singer of Irish band the Cranberries Dolores O’Riordan, with their powerful performance of ‘Zombie’.

Band members are: Cara Darling — Guitar & Vocals (Year 12)

Jana Worgan — Guitar & Vocals (Year 12)

Jasper Noonan — Drums (Year 11)

Rogan Houston — Bass (Year 12)

Kirra Beattie — Keys (Year 12)

Olivia Griffin in Year 8 & Sari Noonan in Year 7 performed in the ‘Sinfonietta’ string quartet.

Only a handful of awards are given out during the gala, however two BCC students scooped three of the major awards.

Jasmine Robinson received the Senior Vocal trophy.

Indi Gledhill in Year 9, who was cast as Winifred in our College production of Mary Poppins earlier this year, received the Intermediate Dance trophy and the Triple Threat award for her performances across dance, vocal and drama sections.

Several students also helped backstage during the evening to bring the Eisteddfod Gala to life.

Well done to everyone involved in these artful endeavours.
